thank you so much for all your care and concern. i have really good news...as of last night ad was sitting up, talking and laughing. she is off the IV. she had an ice cream sundae with sprinkles for breakfast. i think they are going to move her out of the ICU soon.
the cause of her illness remains a mystery although they think it was viral rather than bacterial. i've been thinking about how if we lived in an earlier time period without modern medicine she would not have been saved. it is good to be reminded how lucky we are and i'm so thankful for the people at the hospital who cared for her. the nurses were amazing.
if you happen to be waiting for an order from me over in my shop i am working to get those out today. tomorrow i'll be going back to boston.
much love and good health to you,
liane

ReplyDeleteWe do spend a lot of time criticising modern medicine, but it is times like this that we realise that sometimes it does really great things. And ice cream with sprinkles for breakfast probably helps a bit too!
