enhabiten giveaway

I am thoroughly enjoying blogging. I love reading your comments. And I figure since it's the giving time of year I'm wanting to do a giveaway! So the top picture is a detail of one of my crazy quilt pillows. This pillow is made from a quilt which was hand-stitched in 1924. The bottom of the pillow is made of eco-friendly hemp, hand tea-stained, and the filling is kapok. Love mother earth, dudes.
So, if you wanna win this pretty baby just leave a comment here and I will pick a winner on Christmas day.
On the enhabiten homefront, I'm working on a large custom order today and hoping to complete it so I can ship it off to a lovely customer and get on with buying a few presents for my offspring. Don't read this part, children, but Mommy hasn't gotten you any presents yet.
xoxo
Liane

You can imagine how I practically jumped for joy when I saw your tweet about this giveaway. I have been admiring your work for some time, and ever since I first saw those pillows I have swooned for them. I don't usually enter giveaways, but this one by far cannot be passed up and is the best ever. Thank you for the lovely reads!

I'm not a frequent commenter, but I haven't missed a post, yet! I'm really glad you're blogging and would loved to be entered in the give-away. This crazy quilt has been reinvented into so many lovely items; I'd be thrilled to have this pillow if I'm the lucky one.

Love those cozy pillows! I have a quilt made in the 20's given to me by a childhood neighbor who has passed many years ago. She lived to be 97, died in the same house she was born in. She cooked on a woodburning stove her whole life, made her own butter, killed her own chickens, and gave us a weekly supply of fresh milk. Her name was Kate. I wonder who made the quilt you made the pillows from.

Thanks for the chance to enter your sweet giveaway. I really enjoy your blog and tweets.

Please sign me up for this giveaway ~ !

p.s. Your blog is my new favorite (don't tell my other favorites, okay?). I'm very creatively inspired by your work and home, and you've made me remember how much I love scrounging for vintage fabrics, and that I shouldn't be neglecting the ones I already have scrounged.

I usually don't comment on posts for giveaways, but the love and history you've stitched together is a lovely holiday image for me.

I just got a sewing machine from my hubby and, as you may gather from my blog, crafting is not my forte but something that I believe has real cultural, personal, and environmental worth.

Hi Liane... Thank you so much for giving someone the opportunity to win one of your lovely pillows. You and you wonderful Etsy shop have inspired me to do something I have always wanted to do... & that is to learn to sew and maybe one make a little vintage pillow of my own. I have collected vintage fabrics for many years but never had the courage to make them into something... You have given me that courage.... So thank you so very much.... Fiona :}

liane--
you were one of my first customers (athomewithhenry vintage) and i have truly appreciated your repeat business.
sometimes you meet (or in this case see online) someone and think, "wow--i **so** get that person, because their values/feelings/passions/ideas/whatever mirror my own." that is the way i felt when i saw your recent etsy video! i have really enjoyed watching your business grow, and so enjoyed seeing a bit more of the woman behind enhabiten.
congratulations on your continued success, and happy holidays!
big hugs,

Well this is indeed a wonderful opportunity. I have recently returned to sewing after a 15 year lapse.I read your blog every day, and am constantly delighted by the re-use of vintage materials. I have just returned from visiting my 85-year-old mother across the other side of Canada. While there, I raided her sewing room and came away with some gorgeous 50-year old buttons from a dress I had in Holland as a child, as well as trim, ribbon and many other 'old' notions. I can hardly wait to use them on new creations. My Ukrainian grandmother (Baba) and I used to go and feel fabric textures for afternoon fun when I was in university. She called it 'feeling threads'. I have a couple of quilts and some crocheted lace she made. They are my dearest treasures. I would be honored to win one of your pillows.
