agnes martin











One thing Agnes Martin talked about was the difference between a loved line and an unloved line. I find her thoughts, writing, character all to be enigmatic. And fascinating. And I love her art. You should watch this video interview here. I think you might like it.

Oh this is such a good post. So happy to open your blog today to read it. Agnes Martin is one of my all time favorite artist. I read once that she said (when you are having trouble feeling inspired to make your work) "it is better to be at the beach thinking of your art than in your studio thinking of the beach" I remember reading that and feeling a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders.
She is awesome
