tasha tudor

How beautiful is this picture? Are you familiar with Tasha Tudor? Did you know she just passed away recently but lived life like it was the 1830s? Would you believe me if I told you she wove the cloth and made the clothing you see her wearing in this image? All true. You can learn more about her here and I recommend this book, this book and definitely this book.

I am a big fan of Tasha's life and work, she was so amazing!!! I have many of her books and high up on my wish list is taking a garden tour at her home (it is a bit pricey). Although I have never met her, one of my herbal teacher and friends have known her well. You even see the "company name in some of her books" (sage mountain...)! Thanks for posting this, it is a beautiful picture... and I am really liking barbara davis as well!

Achkk! I just got our Heirloom Crafts from the library a week ago. I'm planning a little project inspired by one of the photos. I'm a HUGE Tasha fan. Her books, life, illustration... she's an amazing inspiration! I'm so not surprised she'd find a away into your eclectic mix, Liane. I am loving your blog so much. I'm always surprised, constantly inspired, and often delighted beyond words!

I didn't know Tasha recently passed. Still one of my heroines. So indebted to her for her wonderful children's literature, illustrations and living the life of my dreams.

My Great Aunt Isabel gave me a Tasha Tudor alphabet book when I was only 2 years old so I have been an admirer of Tasha Tudor for more than 50 years. I still have the Victoria magazine with photos of her antique clothing collection. I just came across it this morning in fact. (Also have the book from Aunt Isabel. It is on my LR mantle.)
