around my house, grey morning

Boy, it's a a grey morning in New Hampshire. I hope you have some sun where you are because this is fairly de-press-ing. Yesterday, however, was warm enough for me to wear a couple layered sweaters and go for two long walks. It was really good for me and I could feel myself shedding more of the winter blahs with each step. I have to do the same thing today (bringing our cars to the mechanic's for inspection and then going back to pick them up equals 3-mile walks each way.)
Here's my house this morning. Not much light to be had. The first couple pictures of streamers and tulips are evidence of a birthday party we had over the weekend. The last picture of the vintage cross stitch pillow cover is a antique shop score I debated putting in the shop but realized it was destined to be mine. I made a pillow insert for it a couple nights ago and it's on my chair next to the wood stove. As Martha would say, it's a freaking good thing.

i love the cross stitch - i use to do it when i was little. my aunt Olga was a pro - she did everything form coasters to table cloths and table runners. One day, i'd like to make a few little pieces - need to make the time.

Wow Liane....every single one of these are stellar. Such gorgeous snippets, your home is so beautiful and warm. And that pillow is GOR-geous. I am glad you kept it. I hope, though it is grey, that you have a wonderful day hun. Enjoy your walks.....

I live in mass and yesterday it seemed like spring was almost here. Today bring dark cold rain/snow. But not to much longer till everything will once again awaken.
