shop update

Good Morning! The time shift this weekend has thrown me off. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Plus it's rainy here so even less motivation.

But here's the granola I made the other day. I'm the sort of cook who alters recipes much of the time. And I've never been good with measuring. The only time I'm sure to measure correctly is when I'm making my favorite chocolate cake recipe.

So, with that said, I used the granola recipe from Ginny Callan's Horn of the Moon cookbook to start and then changed some amounts and switched out a couple ingredients. I've had this cookbook forever...and I like it but it can be heavy on dairy fat if my memory is correct.

Anyway, here is roughly my recipe:
4 cups rolled oats, handful of flax seeds, handful of sesame seeds, large handfuls chopped almonds and chopped walnuts, about 1/2 cup each raisins and chopped dried pineapple, 1/3 to 1/2 cup honey or i sometimes use maple syrup, a bit of water to help it clump up a little.

oven 350, spread onto 2 lightly greased cookie sheets, cook for 20-25 minutes making sure to stir around the granola about every 5 so as to avoid over-browning.

voila!

And here we have a crappy picture of pillows. I planned to start listing new items in my shop first thing this morning but it's rainy and dark here and I still have more pictures to take. So I'm going to hold off and see if it brightens at all outside so all my pictures don't look like this.
How's your morning so far?

The full size picture of your granola bowl is scary (I am sure it tastes delicious though). Those pillows look beautiful, the bottom pillow on the right caught my eye.
