fleamarket finds

hello my little chipmunks.

i wanted to show you a few things i bought at the flea recently.  the top images are of an autograph book that nearly knocked my mismatched socks off.  it's late 19th century and includes the standard beautiful signatures and short notes but also had some more elaborate pages.  my favorite being the ink drawing of a campsite.  that was $5.  i also got a set of these toleware candle sconces which i wuv.  i think they were $2-$3.  last, this painted tray. i hung it in my dining room and it looks perfecto.  $5.

i'll be back later this afternoon with a little front porch update.
till then,
xo

Unbelievable finds, Liane! That was certainly a day well spent. Love all of it, though I died a little inside that the autograph book was not mine. :) PS. Your recent shoe post has set me on a quest for vintage red swedish clogs.

You are indeed lucky to have found that autograph book. I am lucky to have inherited my grandma's autograph book (the pages are sewn together with thread where they ripped...they didn't have tape back in the 1800s) and I have my great, great uncles autograph book which was given to my grandpa on my gguncles passing...since my Pop was named for him.
That tray is beautiful and I'm tellin' you--you are a great finder, my dear!
