hello beautiful people. i'm sharing a mish-mash of folk art today. you can find more at just folk and candler arts. the cabinet in the first image is delectable. and i love the "no hunt" sign.
here's what i've been up to:
still reading "the reindeer people" and loving it. but like so many native cultures, traditions and ways of life time and "progress" and government interference have really changed how the siberian herder nomads live. they no longer have ownership of their herds, they are now state run and the people earn very little for their work. it's really sad to read about.
i have been messing around with my new concertina and wondering if i'm swift enough to be able to teach myself. i don't know how to read music. i've got a couple beginner books and a CD to listen to. we'll see.
i got together with my girls last night. and two of them are letting me take pictures of their homes for the blog so look for those next week. i'm renaming that series "inhabit". just so you know.
i think that's it. i'll see you monday. and that's a big hot promise.
xo

Happy weekend Liane :)
I love that second picture...the quilt.
Wha! That "No Hunt" sign is TDF!
I had to scroll back up to get a better look at the "a" quilt. I don't know what it is that gets me so hard.
