fish out of water

i'm back!

and i miss the water mega-wicked.  we were at a little place on squam lake which was pretty quiet and private and we swam for hours everyday.  we also went kayaking everyday.  we also ate a lot everyday.  and we re-watched "on golden pond."  and we listened to the loons.  and we picked wild blueberries.

i was bad at taking pictures, however.  i was too busy doing the above.  but i'll share the images i did get tomorrow as well as tell you about the trip some more.

today i'm back in the water and floating down the contoocook river in a big flotilla in honor of molly on her birthday.  i've lived near the river most of my life but never gone tubing in it.  duh.  so this one's for molly.  i miss her.  and i'll be thinking about her as i float on down.

welcome back, i've missed you too. your holiday sounds perfect - i'm a big water baby, 'grown up on the sea, and since climatising to river life. tubing is a lovely way to spend a summers day in thought with friends!

So nice to hear from you and that you've had a peaceful getaway. Again, so sorry about Molly. It is clear that you shared a great friendship with her and no doubt she treasured your kindness. Best, Mandy

Welcome home Liane. What a beautiful place! For me, there is no place more home-like than a body of cool, calm water.
