pieces

morning!  i'm considering going on housework strike.  has anyone ever done this and what were the ramifications?  did the other members of the household even notice the squalor they were living in and emerge out of their pampered fog to do a dish or two?  vacuum a dust mote or 20 million?

the top picture is a little collection of pottery pieces we found on the river bed the other weekend when we did our molly flotilla.  olivia found them, actually.  the bottom group ethan found this spring when he dug a bed out back for his pumpkin patch.

beyond that, i ate some faux bbq ribs last night with mashed potatoes and swiss chard and garlic scapes in them.  the pretend meat wasn't half bad.  the mashed potatoes were fecking awesome.  especially because the potatoes and scapes and chard were just harvested that day.  i already cry to think of the winter with no fresh food around.  but such is the nature of life.  and i actually like it that way.

I've been on strike for like two years and no-one has mentioned it yet.

I'm in awe of your archaeological finds. I strike more than work, he notices, but does not take any action.

I may join your strike. I just despise it. I think I might be the only one who suffers though. May not be worth it.

Wow, what beautiful finds!

Housework strike? Good luck with that. No one notices around here when I stop cleaning (except me of course!)
