boots circa 1940s and japanese stitches

and can we just take a minute this fine morn and look at a bit of japanese patchwork and stitching via sri?

    My dad had boots just like that!! I remember those buckles!!!
    somewhere I have a japanese stitched quilt that I started after seeing a vintage one somewhere. I will have to go unearth it for a future post- thanks for the reminder!!!
