hello friends-

i'm planning to open the new enhabiten shop monday afternoon (tomorrow!)
at around 1 PM.

i  hope you'll check in then.  i will continue to stock the shop in the next few weeks but beginning tomorrow you'll find an assortment of scarves, a handful of clothing items, cushions and hair wraps.  i also have a handful of $50 tote bags while they last.

last night was a great one here- we went to see some short indie films including the one below, which was my favorite.  then we came home and had a dinner party.

tonight we're headed to a launch party for a book our friend robin macarthur both contributed to and edited.  it's an anthology of contemporary vermont fiction- here's a link if you're interested.

a magical little bog walk from yesterday.

i hesitate to promise but within a week i hope to have the new shop running.

i've been dragging my feet a bit as this sort of work is not my strong point.  

and i've been doing some other filler work- landscaping and dog sitting.  

also, a week was spent preparing for winter and getting a wood stove in the house 

as well as hauling several cords of wood from one place to another.

the physical work has been tough but good particularly because it was done outdoors.  

i'm loving the outdoors.

MOVING NEWS AND SALE

MOVING!

(please bear with me and read this slightly longer post)

hi lovely folks.

i've finally begun the process of moving my little enhabiten shop from etsy to my own website and shop, here.  i have been planning to do this for a long time.  in honesty, life has been crazy and etsy has worked well enough for me that the task kept getting moved to the bottom of the to do list.  (well, i'm not a list maker, but if i was..)  lately though, more reasons have been piling up to make the transition.  the changes etsy has made to both the focus and mission as well as the front page format of the site leaves me less than enthusiastic.  so i'm taking the leap.

i will be adding a mailing list sign up feature to the new site in the next few days and i encourage you to check in later and sign up if you're so inclined.  i will send out occasional newsletters when new products are available, when i have a sale, etc.  prior to that though, if you'd like to stay informed you can email me at enhabiten@live.com and i will be sure to include you.  

one thing to look forward to- i am planning a new line of enhabiten handmade and hand-dyed tunics and dresses.  i'm so excited for this!

also, i will most likely maintain the etsy shop once i'm up and running with my new place as i get adjusted.

well hello!

i had a lovely weekend of firewood gathering, canoeing, yoga, dinner with friends.  

the leaves are turning here right now so everywhere i look is golden yellow, deep orange, fiery red.

and i've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to photograph a pair of grape-y colored scarves (darker than the one pictured up there) to add as well,  no luck.  i got stubborn about it and had four different photo sessions trying to force it into be.  the color kept showing blue.  

i'll try again tomorrow. meanwhile, here's what the garden looks like now-

everyday we've been roasting and drying and eating tomatoes.
