slippers & dancing

i made these for my friend audrey.   

she had a birthday dance party last night.  i love to dance.  and i did.

i used this pattern here.  and the felt came courtesy of a trade with maya.

I decided to take part in the 365 days project I'm sure you've heard of since it's all over flicker and blog land. I read about it on Anabela's blog. I will post my pictures on my flickr stream and maybe here once in awhile.

We are going to try to include a self-portrait once a week or so. I don't feel like I'm particularly photogenic so I'm hoping the experience will help me overcome my feelings about this. I think it's got a lot to do with attitude as with most things. Oh yah, and that little thing called self-acceptance.

The above pictures are my living room in black+white. Plus note my new slippers. I am loving them. Our furnace is not working properly and has been being fickle for the last 2 winters. We have to purge it and force the water through the system about once a month. We do have a woodstove but my bedroom is at the oppposite side of the house (and it's a big house with 13 rooms) so we don't get any of that heat at night. The furnace is doing this thing where it loses all pressure (I know this is total snoozedom but stay with me) and the hot water doesn't get to circulating in the far reaches of the upstairs. So this is what I wear to bed: t-shirt, long-sleeve, sweater, tights and sweatpants and knee socks with my slippers on...in bed...
