we had what seems like the first self-respecting snow storm begin last night and it's continuing throughout the day.  i'm strapping my snowshoes on for the first time this winter.  

looks like we'll be housebound today and i don't think i will want for much except that dang sexy cadbury egg i saw at the grocery store yesterday but didn't bring home with me.

somebody asked me in the comment section a bit ago about the haunted house i used to live in.  i'll try to put together an interesting story about that for you later.  and maybe i'll bring my camera with me when i show shoe.

i'm happy to say i've been snowshoeing a lot lately including both days this weekend.

and these monster mutant icicles below did end up taking down the cable line and defunct telephone land line at my house this weekend.  the wires landed in a snowbank and are draped low across the road.  despite phone calls no one's come to fix them.  am i gonna have to get all freaky-deaky in order to get some one over here to put it right??  i practically had a conniption  when i called to let the cable company know the deal because it took 1/2 an hour and push this button for this and select that number for that until i got a live person on the phone.

what's this world coming to and young people these days...

oh and i had to walk to school 10 miles barefoot when i was a kid.

walk in the woods and in the fields

i had the best time snoweshoeing with my friend lisa yesterday.  everything was perfect.  the sun was perfect.  the snow was perfect.  the wide open fields and view of mountains all perfection.  the way the paths through the woods were like tunnels of underbrush...that was so perfect.  it was quiet and brisk.  i took these photos with my cell phone.  wish you were there to experience it.
