I'm Back!!

First of all, I implore you to visit Rebekah's blog to see this post. I wuv this house. And I just want to be sure you all get a chance to wuv it, too. The first two pictures above are a little preview but there's lots more to see over there.

And second of all, while I was in Vermont I was reading and completely riveted by the Alice Munro collection of short stories called Too Much Happiness. The stories are pretty dark. The characters all had this quality of being both completely like and not like me. I was sucked into each one within paragraphs and I never had that feeling I get when reading short stories of being short-changed or disappointed by their length. Here's one of my favorite lines from the end of the story titled Faces:

"You think that would have changed things? The answer is of course, and for a while, and never".

And thirdly, I have decided that Colin Firth is major hotness. Just so you know.
