I was just looking through some old family pictures for a certain project and had to share a few with you.
First of all, that second grade school picture of me...what kind of hairdo is that Mom?? I think she must have cut that one herself. Although it is looking pretty Breck Girl shiny. And let me just add, is that a Gunne Sax? I was so fashion-forward.
Then there's a favorite picture of my Grandma Alice, my Mom and my sister. Nevermind that my Mom was a single mother working nights in the ER to get through nursing school and we lived in a trailer...we knew how to DRESS. Seriously, look at those outfits. Way to go, Girls.
And last, I love this picture of my Grandmother. She's in the basement turned panelled wood full bar in her house on Long Island. Boozing it up. When I was little my grandparents had their friends over OFTEN for 5 o'clock cocktail hour. I would systematically go around the room and beg martini-soaked olives off all the partakers. Ah, the early 1970s. Those were the good ole days.

Liane, you were ADORABLE...and you know what- I swear you look the same!
OMG, you haven't aged a bit! My parents had a bar in the basement (mid 70s too) and they loved to PAR-TY. I would play bartender at their parties. I used to collect Coors beer pins from my parent's friend who was a beer distributor. That explains a lot! Thanks for sharing those amazing photos Liane. Cheers!
what a fun look back, thanks for sharing that with us...
