my bedroom, my bike

hello lovely people.  mediocre photo day.  i just took an inaugural spin on my new bike.  bottom picture.  exhibit A.  i bought it at a church rummage sale last weekend.  ten dollar.  purrs like a kitten.  back pedal to stop.

then i thought i'd bring you up to my bedroom.  so forward of me.  and, yeah, i barely ever make the bed.  there, i said it.  i do, however, change my sheets about every third day.  i can't stand unfresh sheets.  ewie.  i once heard oprah say she has someone change her sheets every other day.  but i have to do it for myself.  no, "change my sheets serf!"

and then below that is my dresser.  we bought it at the fleamarket.  for 25 dollar.  it was painted.  the man of the house refinished it for me.

and see that old wooden shelf above the bed.  totally scored that for 10 dollar.  at an antique shop.  that was a good day.

also, i'm going to the auction tonite.  i have my eye on a couple hot little numbers.  a painting and then something that looks like a pie safe sort of but anywayz i like it.  we'll see.  now i just have to decide who i'm gonna sit with when i get there.  that old guy or that other old guy.  heehee.  seriously,  i feel so preteen when i'm there.  youngest in the room by at leat a decade.

see yas later,
(did i spell that right?  my grandpa used to say that)

ooohh i love your white walls! i have the same type of ceiling in my room, too, but all of my walls are weird shades of green (painted by the previous occupant--my mom!). i am dying to paint them white but too lazy to get up into the nooks and crannies with a brush...

that was fun! the shelf is delicious and the bike ain't bad, either. especially the wire basket on the back.

My bike is the same color. And, the shelf, I've been eyeing one very similar at a store in town but it's about $200.....

Our whole house is white - or at least in the process of being so (renovating, and taking ages...).
Love, love that blue distressed shelf!

Your bedroom is much sparser than I would have guessed. The blue shelf is very pretty and I am looking forward to seeing pictures of you riding your blue bike.

A smart pre-teen, if you're the only one your age at the auction, you're probably just ahead of the crowd.
