molly

hi friends,

so, i wasn't sure if i should write this post but i'm not sure how to resume regular posting without telling you.  it just wasn't feeling right.

as i was walking out the door last week to go to connecticut i found out that a friend of mine had been killed.  it was sudden and tragic and she was truly one of the most inspiring and beautiful people i've ever known.  i know that sounds cliche and you don't know her but losing her is heartbreaking for everyone who knew her.  she is not someone who should be gone from this earth.

there are two things i ask of you.  first, if you could say a prayer for molly and for her family i would so appreciate it.  the truth is i don't know if i believe in prayer.  but i believe in the love people have for one another and i believe that it means something.  that there is a sort of collective love we all feel at times.  and maybe that's something like prayer.

and second, if there are people in your life who mean something to you but you're not sure they know it, tell them.

Oh Liane,

This is so sad. This poor world needs rare and beautiful people like Molly. I will say a prayer for her and her family, and for you as well.

With Love,

Marjorie

Hi Liane - What a suprise to see this today. I enjoy your blog but was not aware of any connection we might have. Molly was my sister in law. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.

I'm very sorry, a friend of mine died recently in a horrible accident so I can't understand the way you're feeling. I hope things will get better for you and her family.

Wow, I know two other very special people who are no longer with us as of last Friday...it has indeed been a hard weekend.

There must be something extraordinary happening somewhere else in the Universe to have needed all of these energies in its creation!

My thoughts go out to Molly's Family and to you.

Liane, I'm so sorry. I will keep you and your friend's family in my thoughts and prayers. We lost two friends to a violent crime about a year and a half ago, and it's almost indescribeable. It seems sudden tragedy hits the most amazing individuals. Take care.

i am sorry to hear about your friend. those whom we love are part of our souls, so it is terrible to lose someone who is so close to you. i do believe in prayer; i have ever since i was a little girl and i am nearly 60 now so i will say prayers for Molly and her family. prayers are love; they are the most beautiful love we have for each other.

Oh Liane. There is nothing that I could say that would be quite right or enough, so I won't say anything at all other than this touched me and my heart goes out to you and all involved.

I don't believe in prayer, but I will be thinking of her and her family with the most tender thoughts.

Thank you for the advice. I take it to heart and in honor of Molly I will do that.

I'm so sorry for your (collective) pain and loss. The world feels quite senseless at times. You're in my thoughts, as I hug my baby tighter.

No justice ... a dear friend of many years fell ill and passed away within a week. Her transition, passage, whatever, was peaceful and full of family gathered together. I hope Molly didn't suffer greatly and she felt surrounded by love. In the end, that's the grace note we hope for. Hope she's flying free, light as a breeze.

i have no words that will comfort you at this time, words usually don't. but it sounds as though you have your own sort of faith to keep you strong. i wish i could just give you a big long hug, that's what i think helps at times like this. xo

I'm so sorry. Death is the toughest thing I have ever dealt with, we all deal with, and effects every moment of everyday of my life.

Liane, I am sorry about Molly's death. I am not sure if I believe in prayer either. But I do believe that shared thoughts and and intentions can be powerful.

I will have Molly and her family in my thoughts this week. May she be in a peaceful place, and her family find comfort and move toward healing from this terrible loss. And you also.

It is times like this that we realise how precious our friends and family are.
