eli and i went for a hike in the woods yesterday. i hear a lot of folks say they can't wait for winter to be over.  it has been a long one.  but i've been feeling differently in general.

a few months ago i started having these light bulb moments.  or realizations.  i would be doing nothing out of the ordinary and i'd have this feeling come over me.  i'd just stop what i was doing and feel so grateful for that moment.  even if it was just doing the dishes or letting the dog out.

so i'm happy to wait for winter to take it's sweet ole time.  i want whatever is happening right at this moment.  the future will come soon enough.

I agree. There's so much to feel and explore...when you embrace
the calmness of the winter season.
I learn alot...read alot and tend
to appreciate alot more during this time.

I agree too. Bebe Miller reminds us "moments of bliss are gifts for living in the present." Love the bare trees.

What a lovely and generous thought. Thanks for creating that seed within me, I will be looking at my day differently, trying to relish the moment :)
