i can't get enough of that little vase of hydrangea.  there's meaning for me in the way they fade in such a precious and beautiful way.  they began as big fluffy blue balls of petals in the summer.  i picked them a few weeks ago as they were turning green and pink and magenta.  spectacular color.

that blue chippy shelf up there.  i just hung it.  i bought it for a great deal a couple years ago.  twenty bucks!  it's a big piece at almost 5 feet long.  i had been debating whether to sell it because my house is so small and it really is a challenge to find the right places for things.  but i think it will work well where i have it.  i will be on the look out for book shelves to put underneath this shelf.

so very beautiful...... one my my neighbours has hydrangeas in beautifully fading shades and I would so like to just accidentally snip a head - but no of course - I can enjoy your photos, thanks and have a good weekend.

I was admiring that blue chippy shelf and wondering if it was new. It is a handsome and unique piece.

have you read this book?"The Night Circus." I just started it. The author, Erin Morgenstern calls it realist magicalism. Maybe a good book for that new bookshelf.

it is interesting that hydrangea still bloom in your place where they only bloom here in japan in may~june. during the summer, it is
too hot for them here, i think.
by the way, blue shelf is charming. i am thinking about making something like that sooon. thanks.
