lisa's house

hi folks.  here i am with a big treat for you.  but first, if you are waiting for a continuation of this post, i'm afraid you have to wait until next week!  are you mad?  sorry, babies.  but i was stuck at the DMV all day with my daughter getting her driver's license (woo!  yes, she passed the test) and i haven't been able to get that other post together.

luckily, i have here something pretty terrific.  i've been wanting to start a series of house peeks.  because for me there is nothing better than house peeks.  really.  they are better to me, than um, well cupcakes and other good stuff i'd rather not list here.  jeez people.  that's kind of personal.  heehee.

my first peek is of a house belonging to my good friend lisa.  she is an artist and she has a really fascinating and personalized home.  included are pictures of her art studio where she paints and also teaches as well as pictures of her teenaged kids rooms.  plus all the regular stuff.

the best thing about this series (aside from being able to share my friends homes with you) is that i get to poke around them myself.  total favorite activity.  if i'm ever over to your house for coffee we had better build in an extra 1/2 hour of time so i can look around.  voyeuristic?  perhaps.  but that's how i roll.

I love your friends home. My job would be a nice one for you then, i get to see at least 2 different persons houses a day, when i'm working my day job.... I must admit that's the best part of the day job for me too, the rest isn't all that interesting about it. sometimes i take pictures secretly with my iphone, but i never dear to put them on my blog, as i haven't asked their permission. But it does ache that i can't do that, as some have realy interesting homes..

I cannot, repeat CANNOT, believe you are making us wait. Do you know I have checked in here like 12 times already today. No pressure though :)
Fun! I am so happy you will be doing house peeks! I would love to do something like that around here too. I loved that your friend Lisa has a small kitchen like me, although hers is still bigger that mine. Nice seeing all the personal stuff that people do in their places.

That's a personalized space alright.
I like the sketches in Lisa's studio.
And I think you are the prefect person to pull off this houses peeks photo project.
Great idea!

This is a great idea. Lisa's home looks huge! I'm a bit of a neat freak if the truth be known so I couldn't imagine myself living there but wow! so much great stuff around. I love the drawings on the wall, my eldest son would love to do that!
Dying to know what you've got lined up for next wekk...

I am WAY into the details. Thanks to your friend Lisa (and to her teens!), for showing her home.

I love love house peeks..you are right they are better than cupcakes and gooey chocolate! I like to see what people use and how they put their furniture...I don't care to see what they are doing..just what they are doing with things!
