morning!
i'm in a fact-defying good mood today.

mainly because my car totally crapped out and needs a new transmission.  so i will be in the market for an old used one this week.  i'm thinking i'd like an old boxy volvo sedan except i should really get a 4 wheel drive and probably something with as good gas mileage as i can find.  i should be stressed about this.  but somehow...not.

and part of the reason is i really like monday mornings.  i know.  are you shooting poison daggers at me through the computer screen right now?  thing is, i really like my job. really. like. it.  i look forward to a fresh week and to working in my studio.  a fact's a fact.  and i try not to lie to you here at ze blog enhabiten.

so, the lo down is i got a couple new little pouches in my shop this morn.  and maybe some more later today after i make and package up some orders.  one is an inside out pouch.  i miss me some inside out.  i truly plan on having some more inside out pillows and pouches in the shop real soon.  they are a personal favorite.

and i also wanted to share a picture up there of a little mushroom family i won over at the oak leaves blog recently.  kee-ute!  thanks chrisi.

and most lastly, i made up a recipe yesterday.  it's called "girl scout cookie thin mint cake".  crazy.  and flipping good.  i just ate some for breakfast.  what??  you only live once.  i think.

xx liane

Happy Monday! The mushrooms are adorable and I'll check out her blog.

Sorry to hear about your car. I understand your love for Mondays. It's raining here today, but not inside where the music is bright and the project list is flowing.

Have a good week.

i have had three of those "boxy" volvos and love them. 1982, 1984 and 1986. pro: they get great gas mileage. con: expensive to fix.

as a volvo lover i am also happy with my current 2002 subaru outback. good for you because they have 4 wheel drive. bad for you because they are gas guzzlers (which i think is a given with all wheel drive).

hope this helps a bit! i am loving those little pouches.

Very cute mushrooms and bags. That cake would really hit the spot after some of the veggie soup we are having for dinner....

240 series volvos are great. we have an '87 wagon with the third seat in the back (Wilma) and a sweet '83 sedan (Betty) that we've had for years. They handle surprisingly well in New England weather, even here in Maine and though expensive to fix (but not as expensive as a Land Rover or Mercedes or anything), they are super easy to repair yourself if you're so inclined. My husband does almost all the repairs on ours. We too have a Subaru for the long road trips and especially dicey weather. Both great cars.

And love your little mushrooms. I've been considering a wallpaper with a mushroom print lately for a little closet in my home.

Just found your blog via 16 house... Wow. You have such a great writing style... and your work is lovely. I looked at your no-knead bread recipe and yummo!! I was making my own bread for yonks before my little one (now three) was born... but the kneading was always a pain in the proverbial! Take care and hope your car troubles resolve. Our car is seriously wobbly and I'm wondering how much longer it can hang in there...

You're hilarious. And this post was exactly what I needed to read this morning. Even if I'm late and it's already Wednesday.
