morning folks.
i hope you all are real good.
it's been a lot of up and down for me lately!
but here's where i'm at right now-
i got jolie holland playing on pandora (ask those closest to me and they'd tell you i have a leetle problem with this). i've been stuck like glue to this station for months. if you have an alternative to turn me onto i'll try anything at this point. i love this station but i recognize it may be a, um, issue at this point.
also, i got a fire going and my oakmoss candles lit (it's pretty overcast here)
AND
i'm ready to get working.
the truth is i really love to get out into the world when i get the urge (and when i do i have to accommodate it asap). however, usually i feel most myself in my little solitary pod of home and work with a stretch of hours ahead of me. and that's where i am right now so i'm feeling good.
...
but the point (work-wise) of this post is to let you know i'm bringing back the enhabiten black cross cushion for the month of december and priced at just $25 each. hell yeah.

these dark days are crazy hard to take in New England this time of year . . . winter blues has been catching up with a lot of my friends. you get to a certain age and some of us need every afternoon a huge does of vitamin d and b12 and maybe some 5http to get back to feeling like its spring . .
try Van Morrison on the old pandora, or if you like old r&b you can't beat Don Covay for a great channel
lots of good wishes,
maria
girl, i know that jolie holland problem. i'm not even fooling around. have you heard the american routes episode with her on it? oh man.
i diversified my listening habits with some blind willie mctell (you prolly already know that he's one of her biggest influences http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=I7LLZHsMvtg ),
theo zumm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4dZHYex0Ix0 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4dZHYex0Ix0 )
and cara beth satalino (http://us.myspace.com/music/player?sid=27366742&ac=now )
i sometimes find myself in a music rut, and i become aware of it being emblematic of a larger feeling of stagnation. something as simple as finding new favorite songs can really change my attitude, i know it's true for me.
good luck to you, liane. and if you want any more music recommendation bombardment, i am a deep well of dorky sentimental musical offerings.
