here are two foot stools i've put in the shop. i'm pleased about how they turned out. i started with some pretty basic older wooden (but not vintage) bases i salvaged, i burned the wood which creates a yummy crispy black surface, and i reupholstered the tops with hand-dyed hemp. i could have stapled a lining to the undersides of the tops but i realized once i got going that i had to add some hand-stitching to these so you'll notice i did that *click on the image to see it bigger* or follow the link to the shop to check them out.
