the sleeping porch

Not really sleeping porch related, but I used to have this recurring dream that my house was made completely of glass. And sometimes there would be a pack of wolves roaming around outside. Hmmmmm....
I love all the linens piled up on the bed in the top image (courtesy of apartmenttherapy). The second image is actually a sleeping porch President Taft had erected on the roof of the White House in the early 20th century. (image from here). Awesome, right? The last three vintage images are group sleeping porches from mental hospitals and a TB hospital. (found here and here). Does that depress you? I hope not. I liked the pictures better than some of the foo-foo done up ones I was finding in my search.

Liane, I love these pics! The first one and the fourth one are especially great. :)

We hope to have a house of glass some day. Steven is actually designing one with his dad, in his spare time. Your dream reminds me slightly of a recurring dream I used to have where I was in a glass capsule at the bottom of the sea, with sharks all around me. yeah, hmmmmmm.
