real good mood

my morning glories are in a real good mood lately.  good for them i say.  my tomatoes are feeling pretty randy too.  in fact i need to freeze a bunch today or else there will be wasting, which i can't abide.  the picture is of the grape tomatoes mainly because they are growing right by the m. glories and i was too lazy to take a picture of the brandywines which are the real stars of the place.  man alive they are good.  i think i'm averaging a couple real big ones each day.  eating myself i mean.  i'm eating a lot of tomatoes.  i also grew some called german stripe i think.  they are fine but i won't grow them again because they are paupers compared to the b. wines princes.  which is not to say i like princes better than paupers.  in fact i'm definitely more of a pauper type so that was probably the wrong analogy.  and i'm probably boring you with garden talk at this point.

let's see what else.  i just watched this video:

do you like?  i think i do but i can't decide.  maybe if you like it i will too or if you don't i won't.  such a follower...

and actually i watched half of another video but really way better (i hope diane doen't read this) which is from folk streams.  i highly recommend.  this particular vid and the site as a whole.  it's about the amish.  click amish to follow the link.  i know i don't have my links obvious and in a different colored text.  and i would so totally fix that right now except i need to get back into the studio because i'm doing a shop update this afternoon and i need to stop fecking around.

oh but do my a favor...leave a comment telling me a secret.  it doesn't have to be earth shattering or so totally private that i wouldn't want to know or may get grossed out or anything.  just a little something.  and i promise not to tell anyone.  and then i swear i will tell you some secrets next time.  don't ask why.  mostly because there isn't really a reason and i just thought of it right while i was typing.

looooooove,
liane

I kissed Cillian Byrne on the cheek when I was four, but told everybody he was lying about it.

My dog is very (terminally) sick. Not many people know because I don't do well with sympathy.

I've just starting and i'm feeling nervous, excited and mostly vulnerable about it... at this stage it's still a secret as i've only told a handful of friends about it...here it is :-)

when i was little, i used to hike into the canyon behind our house and climb down to the stream. i would write words on tiny scraps of paper, put them in my mouth, chew them up, then spit them into the stream and try to follow them until i couldn't see them anymore. i still have no idea why i used to do that. i was homeschooled, maybe that was it. i almost decided to share about the time i touched a boy's neck when i was six, but i changed my mind. wow, sharing secrets is fun! i hope the spit part doesn't gross you out.

absolutely love your blog and it always makes me want to go out and buy some burlap. but not really.

i nearly left you a link to a diane cluck link when you mentioned josephine foster the other week! Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFRgFZba-R0 the montage is naff but its a great track and the album (countless times) is a definite winner.

we used to have a pig named oinky (that one day became pork chops, which I didn't know about until decades later but that's another story!), and once he got out of his pen and charged me. My mom had put me out on the deck because I was covered in flour... I was always into that kind of mischief. I survived the event... and he never really ran into me, just scared the heck out of me. That was kind more of a story than a secret, but it's just what came to mind.

secret... my bride diet was mcdonalds fries and mcflurries, and cheap prosecco. for dinner. pretty much every night for 4 months. i'm a stress eater. i eat my feelings. and i am still paying for it a year and a half later. losing weight sucks big time.

My secret: although I dearly love my life and the people in it, I sometimes dream about spending a few months living completely by myself in a very remote and wild place. I would talk to the wind.

My other fantasy is to make myself a wardrobe of clothes that are completely sewn by hand.

My fortieth birthday was easy. Everyone made a big fuss and I was like "Can you believe I'm 40? Me either!" Forty-one is not looking so easy.

I have three secrets for you, the first two are high school related.
1. No secret: In high school my boy celeb crush was Billy Idol. Secret: I still tingle a little when I see pics of him from the 80's.

2. No secret: In high school my girl crush was Sheila E. *snort, cackle* Recently my husband and I were singing along to 80's music videos on You Tube and embarrassing the bejeezus out of our children, and so of course I had to watch a Sheila E video. Secret: He offhandedly said I looked like her in high school, and though I hid it well, I was so. freaking. thrilled.

And here's one from now. Shhhh...
Secret: Your blog is the only one I read everyday. I feel cosmically drawn to it. I don't know why. No secret: I just know whatever you post here or in your shop, I will love. It's like we're karmic style twins.
